The book entitled “Handbook on Local Cultural Policies | Steps, Instruments and Examples” prepared within the scope of the project Strategies for Local Cultural Policies combines the discussions and studies related to the development of local cultural policies in Turkey as well as the theoretical framework of local cultural development worldwide and the steps to be taken in local planning and implementation processes with the instruments related to implementation and the results of certain urban experiences, in other words the examples from various cities across Turkey. 
The book is compiled to contribute to the local cultural policy discussions in Turkey by giving examples to cultural plans and projects generated with participatory and encompassing methods in cities.
