This book published within the scope of the project named "Istanbul Cultural Heritage and Cultural Economy Inventory" being implemented by Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency is a compilation of the interviews conducted with the leading names in the culture and arts industry of Istanbul and spokespeople of the institutions.  
Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture process is being evaluated by different actors in the book.  The book opens cultural management and policies to discussion for various areas ranging from performing arts to traditional arts and from music to publishing and includes the views of managers, experts and civil society organizations.  While the study provides diversified information on the industry's significant venues and institutions, a guide related to all of these venues and institutions is presented to the readers at the end of the book.
