Edirne became a member of the league of Turkish cities with film festivals, when the 1st Edirne International Film Festival opened in the Thracian city on Friday. French filmmaker Tony Gatlif is the head of the international feature film competition jury of the inaugural festival, which also has competitive sections for national feature films and national short films.
