Today, the Government has published The Culture White Paper which sets out their vision for the cultural sectors over the coming years.
Culture is prominent within Government thinking and the paper recognises the importance of art and culture to education, communities, the economy and our national status.
The paper contains a number of proposals that we look forward to helping the Government deliver, including the GREAT Place programme, as well as highlighting challenges to funding, especially outside London.
Along with the recent Autumn Statement, The Culture White Paper represents a vote of confidence in the arts and cultural sector and the contribution it makes to all our lives.
