Academy for Expert Cultural Managers for Efficient Local Administrations towards Istanbul 2010, 2008-2010
Under the scope of the project implemented with the support of Istanbul 2010 Agency, a training program was organized with the staff at 33 town municipalities in Istanbul and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.  Within the framework of the training program, a number of essential issues such as contemporary art, cultural management as a discipline, cultural institutions in Turkey, relationship between the state and arts in the world, culture tourism, cultural heritage, production and event management, financing, promotion and communication, viewer development and strategic planning along with tender laws and operation of municipalities as well as local administrations and cultural policies were discussed.  As a result, cultural managers of the public sector acquired different perspectives regarding this field.

Black Sea Academy, 2010
Supported by STEP Beyond mobility program and in partnership with European Cultural Foundation (ECF) and Open Society Institute, the formation program organized had 27 participants selected among cultural entrepreneurs and managers who responded to the call from Armenia, Azerbaijan,  Georgia and Turkey. Program was organized in order to build capacity with regard to issues such as project management, strategic planning and finding grants and to inform the participants on European Cultural Policies and instruments.  Black Sea Academy brought cultural operators from Turkey and Southern Caucasus to ensure international cultural cooperation and active participation in European programs and networks.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Cultural Management Training Program, 2011
A formation program was organized for the cultural managers from İzmir Metropolitan Municipality.  The program encompassed theoretical issues such as local administrations and cultural policies, cultural heritage, cultural planning and fields related to application such as management of cultural institutions, strategic management, resource development, viewer development, promotion and communication and productions & event management.    Furthermore, guests representing various institutions and initiatives conducting activities in İzmir in accordance with the subjects discussed were invited and these guests shared their experiences with the participants from the municipality.

TANDEM Turkey – EU, 2011
Within the scope of the project implemented in partnership with Stiftung Mercator,  European Cultural Foundation ,  MitOst and Anadolu Kültür, aimed to establish a common study and production platform and to form collaborations between cultural managers from Turkey and Europe.  Training programs related to the management of joint projects and networking meetings were organized with local actors.   Participants who designed projects by establishing bilateral partnerships became members of TANDEM NETWORK which hosts more than 200 independent culture and arts institutions in 35 countries at the end of this process while opening the door for future cooperations.

Public Sphere/Public Art Scientific Training Certificate Program, 2013
The certificate program organized simultaneously with the 13th Istanbul Biennial, discussed the concepts of public art and public sphere over the analysis of artistic works and artistic presentations.  Program speakers who investigated the meaning of arts outside the museums and galleries within common areas and its significance, introduced new perspectives for the participants with examples from both Turkey and abroad with respect to the relationship between public sphere and arts.

Joint Studies with our University's Cultural Management Master's Program

2012, Cultural Management Master's Program Student Conference- The conference which is the first student conference organized in Turkey related to Arts and Cultural Management, provided a platform for master's and PhD students from any academic discipline contributing to Arts and Cultural Management studies and any of the cultural/creative industries to give presentations.

2014, Cultural Management Postgraduate Student Conference – The student conference which was organized for the second time with the support of the European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres (ENCATC) and at an international level for the first time in 2014, aims to encourage the exchange of academic knowledge through an international platform.  

Thursday Talks - Cultural Management master's program hosts professionals and academicians from Turkey and across the world working within the culture industry during each academic semester. Talks are open to participation by all.
